PowerLink Pro Networking
The PowerLink Pro is an innovative, efficient, expandable, intelligent and easy-to-use video control system designed specifically for multiple operatory installations. Productivity is essential in the busy dental office of the ‘90s, and the PowerLink Pro gives every user full access to all centrally located components from every operatory on the network.

PowerLink Pro Features

1. Easy to use

The PowerLink Pro operates automatically. When a camera is turned on, the PowerLink Pro will automatically link it to the printer. If all printers on the network are in use, the PowerLink Pro will assign a position in its built-in chronological queue for that camera. As printers become available, the PowerLink Pro will automatically cycle through the queue until all cameras have had access to the printers. Status of each operatory’s printer connection is available through an in-wall control panel installed in each operatory. This keypad also lets you select additional video playback sources through the PowerLink AX.

2. Expandable to Four Printers

The PowerLink Pro allows full control of one (expandable to four) video printers integrated into one network. All four printers can be used simultaneously without interference between operatories.

3. Multi-Standard Compatibility

The PowerLink Pro is available in either composite or S-VHS versions, making it compatible with any analog intraoral camera system on the market.

4. Eight Intraoral Camera Inputs

The PowerLink Pro integrates up to eight operatories and allows up to eight intraoral cameras to be used simultaneously.

5. Built-in Patient Confidentiality

The PowerLink Pro also provides your patients with the full confidentiality that you require. Some systems allow a user to see other operatories by merely changing a channel. Do you want your patients seeing that, even by accident? With the PowerLink Pro, the only monitor that can display the image of your patient is the one in that operatory.

6. Network remote control of composite or S-VHS equipment, including the Sony DKR-700

The PowerLink Pro built-in infrared control unit allows wireless remote control of centrally located equipment, including video printers, VCRs, CD-i Players, DVD, Laser Disc, DSS and more. Wireless control of the new Sony DKR-700 Digital Still Image Recorder is available only through the PowerLink Pro.

7. Footswitch control of all video printers

Through an integrated footswitch, the PowerLink Pro gives you control of three basic functions on a video printer: Print, Capture, and Source. The PLFP-1 is ergonomically balanced and designed to provide comfortable hands-free operation of your video printer. As new models of video printers enter the market, your PowerLink Pro system printer commands can be upgraded through the RS-232 port, meaning your system will never become obsolete due to peripheral equipment.
