While the VI-2-PRO is very similar in operation to the VI-2-A, it is designed for commercial applications where audio and video quality are very important as well as durability under stressful conditions.

The VI-2-PRO also has a few extra features not found on the the VI-2-A, such as:

  • Terminal block power connector
  • Outgoing DC voltage trigger for external use
 
The VI-2-PRO is being replaced by the VR-2 series.

What about car installations?

The VI-2-Pro is designed to be operated on 12 volts DC. This allows installations in automobile and marine applications running the VI-2-Pro off the battery. Simply remove the wall adapter supplied and connect into the DC battery power.

Sensing Impedence 20,000 ohms min.
Signal Sensitivity Adjustable to allow for system noise
Switching Time A to B 0.1 seconds
Switching Time B to A Adjustable for 2 to 35 seconds
Priority A signal on the Video B or Left Audio B will override the A input

  • input: unbalanced, 1 vpp terminated into 75 ohms
  • outputs: unbalanced, 1 vpp terminated into 75 ohms
  • 100 mHz bandwidth
  • 0.01% delta gain
Audio Specifications
  • input: unbalanced, 2 vpp terminated into 20,000 ohms
  • output: unbalanced, 150 ohm impedance
  • 50 kHz bandwidth
  • THD + noise: <0.005%, 20 to 20 kHz at 1vpp ref.
  • stereo crosstalk: -80 dB at 1 kHz
